Ocean Care Foundation

The oceans absorb the bulk of the carbon dioxide and create more than 60% of our oxygen. That is why the oceans are essential for us to survive at all. Despite, or perhaps because of, the fact that 70% of the earth's surface consists of oceans, the condition of the oceans is ignored at best, and at the worst, plundered and used as a place to dump garbage.

Given the size of the oceans, it is an enormous challenge to create international laws to protect the oceans and to uphold the existing laws

For the oceans are at the core of the socio-economic developments of the worlds greatest (most powerful) ports, like London, Rotterdam, Barcelona, Mumbai, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The oceans also play a very important role in the worlds economy in the area of transportation, food, shipping and recreation. The Ocean Care Foundation supports iniatives which contribute to the realisation of her goals.
